Meet The Teacher

Bienvenidos!  My name is Stephanie, and I am currently a 4th grade bilingual/ESL teacher.  I taught bilingual 2nd grade for two years, and bilingual 1st grade for one year, before making my jump up to 4th grade (and switching school districts as well).  I absolutely love teaching, especially in a bilingual classroom.  I feel that I have just as much to learn from my students as they do from me!

I studied Spanish through Jr. high, high school, and college, but I am not a native speaker.  I have had the privilege of traveling to a few different Spanish-speaking countries (Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Argentina) and I adore the language and the culture.

Right now, I live in an apartment with my cat, Libby, whom I often refer to as Libby kitty so as not to confuse her with my boyfriend's sister, who shares the same name!

In my free time, when I'm not teaching, I love to read, check out new movies on Netflix, attempt to teach myself how to sew, take pictures, spend time with Libby kitty, and explore the internet for new ideas (I think I am officially addicted to Pinterest...)

I am excited to make the jump from 1st grade to 4th grade, and can't wait to scour the interwebz for some fun ideas, and share a few of my own along the way! :)
